Chin Augmentation
Chin augmentation is usually not carried out until the development of the bone is considered complete. The surgery may be done under general or local anesthesia either by itself or in conjunction with other procedures. It is performed through a small inconspicuous incision . A medical grade synthetic implant, which Dr. Metzner carves to your specific measurements and proportions, is used to increase chin projection. The healing is usually complete in one week. This material has been used in thousands of cases and it is recognized to be safe. It resembles the consistency of the patient's own tissues, and is therefore very difficult to detect.
